We had been dreaming of shooting at Providence Canyon for a while after finding out it looked like the Wild West right in the middle of Alabama and Georgia. We met Taylor at another wedding she was the makeup artist at right after she got engaged. We were so lucky she also wanted her engagement photos at this location because with her style choices it really did turn into a dream come true.
Jacob & Taylor met at a BBQ restaurant as teenagers. They became best friends fast but it wasn’t destined to be that early on in their lives. Life happened and they drifted apart. Four years later Taylor reached out to Jacob after hearing his father was murdered in the line of duty as a cop. They picked up where they left off and Taylor was his rock in one of the lowest places of his life. Jacob had a lot of demons to fight and their relationship hit some very rocky patches. She stood by him and they fought the battles together. Taylor and Jacob emerged on the other side together and stronger than ever. Happy in their careers, Jacob as a full time fire fighter and Taylor as a master cosmetologist. They just bought their first home together and are happily engaged.
Jacob poped the question at High Falls State Park in Georgia, on their three year anniversary picnic. Taylor says he was going to ask while they were eating but she caught on and stalled him until they were walking a trail later so she could have a prettier background for the “she said yes” photo.
She hasn’t picked her venue yet, but she knows what she wants. She is planning on boho vibes with greens, burnt orange and a touch of lavender. They want a fun, light hearted event and their close friend is going to be the officiant.
